How Freelance Mum is Revolutionising Women Networking Events in Somerset

Lasting connections and stunning scenery: A spotlight on our Somerset Hub

Freelance Mum’s approach to networking

You don’t need to drop off your children, put your face on, and prepare a speech to find connections to help your business fly. Freelance Mum’s approach to networking is different, and a breath of fresh air.

Our networking events for women in Somerset don’t take place in a conference room but in the beautiful grounds of Tractors and Cream, Somerset’s favourite family-friendly glamping site.

Anyone for Tractors & Cream?

Tractors & Cream is nestled in the heart of the Somerset countryside in the village of Othery.  It’s perfect for our Somerset netwalking events because, with open space to walk and talk, indoor and outdoor play areas, and delicious brownies, it oozes Freelance Mum spirit.

We choose netwalk locations that make life easier for our members (if you’ve got a toddler in tow, the last thing you need is to worry about parking and finding a loo!) The netwalk at Tractors & Cream is all onsite with easy parking, and you’re never far from toilets, and somewhere warm. It’s a place where you, and your children if you choose to bring them, can feel relaxed and at ease, and start building lasting connections to support your business.

Just 15 minutes from the M5 and Clark’s Village, the Somerset Hub has members from surrounding villages, Bristol, and Weston-Super-Mare, meaning you have access, in person, to a diverse network of women in business.

What’s different about Freelance Mum?

We are all about investing in meaningful relationships that last. We’ve been doing this for a while, so we know the connections who will best support and champion your business are the ones you’ve taken the time to get to know.

The format of Freelance Mum events is designed to help you find people you can be honest with and to be a space where you can take off your game face and connect with people who get it. When we can be honest about the challenges of running a business and being a mum, we can find solutions and have the confidence to grow.

The Freelance Mum Mega Meet-up

We love Tractors & Cream so much, that we chose it for our annual whole-network gathering and celebration. The Freelance Mum Mega Meet-up happens every year in June and is a chance to meet members from across our hubs in person. We always have a fantastic line-up of guest speakers, our signature netwalk, and a tasty lunch.

Freelance Mum’s approach to networking is about more than finding new business. We are a safe space to give and get support, offload, feel a sense of belonging and raise each other up.
